Op On December 16 and 17, the city of Ghent will welcome the first edition of the brand new Glimps Festival in 10 different locations. Glimps is an international showcasefestival with a strong focus on European pop- and rockbands from the continent. The festival wants to direct people's attention to talented bands and artist from regions who rarely get a chance in the programme of most European clubs and festivals. Glimps is open for professionals from the music industry as well as for a wide music loving audience. A unique new festival and one of the music events to look forward to this season. Last but not least, Glimps wants to make its proper contribution to the internationalisation of the Belgian music industry.

The festival will be organized by Glimps vzw, a brand new structure, founded by three playmakers from the pop- and rockscene in Ghent: Democrazy, Keremos and Rockoco.

Tickets

Weekendtickets are available on September 16 for the 'early bird'-price of 15 euros. From November 16 onwards, weekendtickets will cost 17 Euros. From December 16 onwards 20 Euros. Day tickets will be for sale when the final programma has been confirmed and will cost 10 Euros (in advance). More and precise information about the final line-up and the locations will be available in October and November.

Flemish bands

Registration for Flemish artists is finished.

Koen Gisen (musician, producer and artistic director at Vooruit) and Wouter Degraeve (Muziekcentrum Vlaanderen) will screen the applying Flemish bands and artists for their international potential and send over a first selection to the curators abroad, who will than make their final selection.
